The train to Shimla was packed, but our group of four best friends had managed to grab a small cabin. Arjun sat near the window, stretching his long legs. Next to him was Neha, his closest friend since college. Across from them sat Vikram and Meera. The four of us had planned this trip for months. Just friends, no partners, no drama. At least that was the plan.
Shimla air hit us the moment we stepped out of the station. Cold, sharp, smelling of pine. We hired a taxi to the small wooden cottage we had rented on the edge of town. Two bedrooms, one living room with a fireplace, and a balcony that looked over the hills. Perfect for four friends who wanted to drink, talk, and relax.
